TSA vision:
Our vision is to deliver an outstanding school-centred PGCE programme based in local schools. Trainees studying with us will be exposed to the highest quality teaching and learning strategies delivered by leading practitioners building on the latest educational research and national developments.
Catchment Area
The Priory School, the lead school in the Salop Teaching School Alliance offer the School Experience Programme (SEP) which gives prospective applicants for initial teacher training (ITT) the opportunity to spend one or more observation days in school to gain an insight into the role and responsibilities of a teacher. The SEP targets high-quality graduates and undergraduates who are interested in teaching maths, chemistry, physics, languages, computing or design and technology. Eligible enquirers are offered an initial 1 day visit. Depending on eligibility and the availability of the host school, they are then offered up to a further 9 days at a time to suit the host school and participant.
